Product Introduction
This 20-ton custom open-top bulk handling skip is a heavy-duty lifting solution built for port terminals, bulk terminals, and heavy industrial material handling. It safely loads, lifts, and unloads high-hardness bulk materials including pig iron and ilmenite, fully complying with EN 13155:2020 lifting equipment standards for port operations.
Constructed with high-strength structural steel (S355/ASTM A572 Grade 50) and premium wear-resistant steel (HARDOX 400/450, AR400/AR500), this skip delivers superior durability and impact resistance compared to standard steel hoppers. The open-top and tapered design ensures smooth and efficient material discharge. Full welding and rounded edges improve operational safety.
It is fitted with four heavy-duty lifting points (2 fixed + 2 self-unloading lugs) with a safety factor of 1:5 for both lifting points and the whole structure, ensuring stable performance under impact loads. The skip uses a three-layer marine-grade anti-corrosion and high-temperature coating system (HEMPEL/JOTUN) in RAL 1003 signal yellow, greatly extending service life in harsh port environments.
